Scannable résumés are those that can be read by a computer and fed into a company’s database for sorting and storage. As with any other product on the market, there are various levels of sophistication and price ranges for the software and hardware that can handle this task. It is therefore recommended that you be prepared with a scannable resume which can be read by even the most basic of systems.
Although it is not recommended that you blindly submit this information, a salary history can be used as a marketing piece as well. This allows you to prove how much of an asset you have become to other companies, monetarily.

Reference pages should provide accurate, detailed contact information. Inaccurate or missing information may cause deterrence in your hiring process.
